I just had total knee replacement by Dr. Woodson.
He is a very talented, bright, kind and personable surgeon. Dr. Woodson really cares about his patients and is quite funny as well, a very rare quality in an orthopedic surgeon, but this added to my healing process. He is very respected and has great relationships with his colleagues and sent me to the Best rehab center and the Best physical therapist. Dr. Woodson also has an amazingly wonderful staff especially Estela, who took me under her wings of kindness, until I was good to go. My surgery has changed my life and I have just retired and I cannot recommend Dr. Woodson higher. He has great gifts as a surgeon and as a person. He is the Best.

I am not nervous or anxious about going into an operating room-but I’ve always left it up to the surgeon as to whether he wants me “out” when I’m wheeled in or if I can be awake and help move myself from the gurney to the table. After all, it’s their show. This was the first time I was fully awake and was on the gurney when Dr. Bernbeck stood over me, introduced me to the surgical team and went over the procedure, what he expected and what he wanted ready to go for the operation. For me, it was so very interesting-and appreciated. I can imagine that it doesn’t work for everyone and there are time constraints, anxiety levels, etc. that can change from patient- to- patient, but for me, it was the very best experience. Add to that his talent and you have another star.
Dr. Klug diagnosed my son 6 years ago after nobody else cold figure out what was going on. We came all the way from Van Nuys to see him because he’s the only one I trust.
Dr. Arshi is a wonderful Doctor and surgeon. I recommend him to everyone who has problems with their knees/hips. He has taken great care of me & my 80+ mother. He’s very caring, listens & always responds when you reach ou to him. I’m walking because of Dr. Arshi.

As for what gave me the most relief? I’m not really sure as there was no “magic bullet”. It could be the 6 months of healing time. It could be the Durolane. It could be the Gabapentin or the Methylpredisolone. Or it could be that the whole team is finally learning to pull together.
Whatever it is, I’m grateful (my whole family is grateful) for the relief and I didn’t want to just “disappear” without letting you know what was going on and to thank you for your time and your help and considerations.
Dr Armin Arshi is a miracle worker. My hip was bone on bone. Extreme pain just to walk. I couldn’t even put on my socks. He worked his magic and now I’m walking pain free, jump roping, squatting 3 plates again. If you need a hip replacement I highly recommend this man. I appreciate you Dr Arshi.
Dr. Woodson, Thank you for everything: your teaching, tips you learned along the way and allowing me to joke with you about sports. The way you practice medicine will be a model for me in how I practice out of school. There is a reason why that lobby gets full all the time and why patients want to be a “Dr.W only.” Your empathy and compassion to each individual leaves a lasting impact. I appreciate my 2.5 years at BOSI. I am grateful that this became one of my stops along my journey, one that I will never forget.
